Liposuction in Las Vegas is a surgical procedure that many women choose to correct persistent deposits of localized fat, but in some cases liposuction alone is not enough to achieve the flatter, slimmer look that most patients want. This woman decided to meet with me to discuss how she could improve the look of her lax abdominal muscles and loose, sagging skin. In her consultation, I explained that a tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, could remove her excess fat and skin and, if necessary, tighten weakened or separated muscles. Based on her physical evaluation and her goals, we concluded that a tummy tuck along with liposuction of her anterior and posterior flanks would be the best approach to achieve her desired appearance.

I have extensive experience in a range of up-to-date liposuction techniques, and while some surgeons tend to use one approach for every case, I take the time to evaluate each patient's body and needs carefully. I discuss the advantages of the different approaches with each patient and make a recommendation based on his or her body type, so that we can plan together for successful results. In most approaches the surgeon will begin by injecting the treatment area with a solution of anesthetic, making it easier to extract the fat cells and contour the areas more smoothly. I perform liposuction through small, inconspicuous incisions to help prevent bruising. Tummy tuck begins with a horizontal incision across the lower abdomen, through which I will carefully create a line of stitches along the middle of the abdominal muscles to restore them to a flatter position.

As her post-operative photos show, her Las Vegas plastic surgery successfully corrected the awkward, excess fat and skin from this woman’s abdomen, as well as restoring her abdominal muscles to give her a smoother, flatter contour. She feels that her body now displays softer, more appealing curves and, like most abdominoplasty patients, she is pleased to find that her scar is hidden below her underwear or bikini line.
